Preschool Graduation

We had the honor yesterday of attending Emily's preschool graduation. I still am in awe that the year is over. I started the year big and pregnant and yesterday I held Miss Cecelia on my lap while Daddy let her try some of his ice cream. It's so hard to imagine that nine months have flown by.

Let me be the first to say that I really didn't want to send Em to preschool. I wanted to keep her home with me another year and send her to Kindergarten. Then, I met her teacher. Mrs. Sharon is about the same age as my mother and is one of those people who just belongs doing what she is doing. I am a former preschool teacher, so I can attest to the highs and lows of the job, but Mrs. Sharon always seems to be having a high day. She is wonderful and we are so blessed to know her. I actually contemplated sending Elle to nursery school just so we could have Mrs. Sharon in our lives three years in a row.

Anyway...back to graduation....The kids sang quite a few new songs for us and then walked across the "bridge" and got their certificate while they all told us what they wanted to be when they got bigger. Emily walked across and said she is going to be an artist. Last week she was telling me she was going to be a bride then a mommy. Maybe that means I will get to watch my grandkids while she goes to work. Hey. I like that idea!!!! We sat and had ice cream and visited with the families in the class. Its bittersweet. I like that Mrs. Sharon gave a list of all the parents numbers so we can still schedule playdates. And I KNOW I will be seeing some of the parents around (right Kim??? Monday morning baby!!!)

I am so proud of the little lady Emily has grown into over the last 9 months. She is growing by leaps and bounds (2.5 inches since Sept actually) and has learned so many new things and made so many new friends. What a great start to a lifetime of learning.

I should have just copied your testament to Mrs Sharon onto my blog. It would have saved me from typing my own. She is AMAZING. What a great memory she gave us of their graduation! I'm also very impressed with your workout this morning!
